How I got here:

Ever since I was little, connecting with others was something that I always gravitated towards. Moving to America when I was only eight-years-old was an extremely hard transition for little me. Through years of learning to adjust to my new home, I relied on support from my family and new friends.

The idea of connection became more important to me than ever before. Having that support through the toughest times is something I will never forget. Because of the power of my relationships, I was able to adapt to my new environment and challenge myself in ways I never thought I’d have to before.

My Journey Was Not Straightforward

Like many of us, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I started college. After a confusing four years, I graduated Rutgers New Brunswick with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. After a short few months post-grad, I realized this was not the path for me. I packed up my bags, quit my job, and moved back home with my parents to embark on a new journey, the one of becoming a therapist.

Aligning With My Passion

Once completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked hard towards becoming the type of therapist I wished I had. Throughout my career, I recognized that my field needed more relatable and authentic therapists. Once it was time, I opened my practice, The Therapy Gal, in order to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health.

Outside of the therapy room, you can find me:

Cuddling up with my dog, Nikolaj, finding the best next show to watch on Netflix. When it’s warm out, you can always find me playing tennis, sitting by a beach, or exploring a new city. When it’s cold out, you won’t find me because I will be hibernating:) I love hanging out with my friends, going on dates with my husband, and showing up at my parent’s house unannounced.
