Welcome to The Therapy Gal

Hi, I’m Leeor Gal! If you’ve seen me on Instagram, you know I take a lighthearted and down-to-earth approach to mental health. I opened our Haddonfield office because I live here in South Jersey and experienced firsthand how difficult it is to find a therapist who feels relatable and actually gets it.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned that the best therapy happens when you feel completely comfortable being yourself. That kind of openness usually comes from having a genuine connection with your therapist. You need someone who understands what you’re going through and can help you find solutions that make sense for your situation.

At The Therapy Gal Haddonfield, we help overwhelmed parents reclaim themselves, young adults as they figure out this stage of life, teens dealing with unprecedented pressure, and everything in between. Because when you feel truly understood, real change becomes possible.

What To Expect In Therapy With Us

Haddonfield Therapists
  • A Space That Feels Like You – Therapy should feel natural, not forced. From the first session, we create an environment where you can relax, open up, and be yourself.
  • Sessions That Actually Help – We use evidence-based approaches tailored to you, so you walk away with insights and strategies—not just “how does that make you feel?”
  • Judgment-Free, Always – You can be 100% yourself, whether that means venting, laughing, or untangling the deeper stuff at your own pace.
  • Progress You Can Feel – Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about growth. We’ll help you break patterns, set boundaries, and start living life on your terms.

Individual Counseling in Haddonfield

Life in South Jersey moves fast, and sometimes you need to slow down and figure out what’s actually going on. Individual counseling gives you that space. Whether you’re commuting to Philly daily and feeling burned out, struggling with anxiety that’s affecting your work, or dealing with depression that makes everything feel harder, we’re here to help.

We see people dealing with all kinds of challenges – workplace stress, relationship problems, major life changes, grief, trauma, and everything in between. Some clients know exactly what they want to work on. Others just know something feels off but can’t pinpoint what it is.

Our therapists take a practical approach. We’re not interested in keeping you in therapy forever or making you feel dependent on sessions. We want to give you tools that work in your actual life, help you understand what’s happening, and support you in making real changes.

Marriage & Relationship Counseling in Haddonfield

Your relationship used to be your safe place. Now it feels like work. Maybe you’re both stressed from jobs, kids, finances, or family obligations, and you’ve forgotten how to connect. Maybe you keep having versions of the same argument without ever resolving anything. Maybe you love each other but aren’t sure you like each other anymore.

Relationship counseling helps couples get back to being a team instead of opponents. We work with all kinds of partnerships – married couples, engaged couples, long-term partners, and people who are trying to figure out if their relationship has a future.

We help you learn to communicate in ways that actually work, understand each other’s perspectives, and rebuild the friendship that brought you together in the first place. Sometimes couples need to learn how to fight better. Sometimes they need to remember how to have fun together. We help you figure out what your relationship needs most.

Family Counseling in Haddonfield

Every family has its stuff. Maybe it’s constant arguments between siblings, power struggles with teenagers, or conflicts about boundaries with extended family. Maybe someone’s addiction or mental health issues are affecting everyone. Maybe you love each other but can’t seem to enjoy each other’s company anymore.

Family counseling helps when individual conversations aren’t working and everyone feels stuck in the same patterns. We work with all kinds of family situations – parents and young kids, families with teenagers, adult children and their parents, and blended families navigating new dynamics.

The goal isn’t to eliminate all conflict. That’s not realistic for any family. Instead, we help families learn to handle disagreements without damaging relationships, communicate more effectively, and create space for everyone to be themselves while still being part of the family unit.

Teen Counseling in Haddonfield

Being a teenager these days is complicated. Social media, academic pressure, friend drama, family expectations, college stress. It can be a lot. Add in normal teenage stuff like figuring out who you are and where you fit in, and it’s no wonder so many teens feel overwhelmed.

Teen counseling provides a space where your teenager can talk to someone who isn’t their parent, teacher, or friend. Sometimes teens need help managing anxiety or depression. Sometimes they’re dealing with bullying, peer pressure, or identity questions. Sometimes they just need someone neutral to help them work through what they’re feeling.

We work with teens on everything from school stress and family conflicts to self-esteem issues and major life decisions. Our approach is straightforward and respectful. We don’t talk down to teenagers or dismiss their concerns as “just a phase.” We meet them where they are and help them develop skills for handling whatever they’re facing.

EMDR Therapy in Haddonfield

Sometimes understanding what happened to you isn’t enough to heal from it. You can talk about your trauma without falling apart, maybe you’ve even been in therapy before, but you still wake up from nightmares or flinch when someone comes up behind you. Your body remembers even when your mind wants to move on.

EMDR therapy works differently because it goes straight to where trauma gets stored in your brain. Instead of just talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain actually process and file away those stuck memories so they stop controlling your daily life.

We use EMDR when other approaches haven’t quite gotten you there, or when you’re ready to actually heal instead of just managing symptoms. Many people see changes within a few sessions because we’re working with your brain’s natural healing process. If trauma is still affecting how you sleep, trust, or feel in your own body, EMDR might be exactly what you need.

Young Adult Therapy in Haddonfield

Your twenties and thirties come with a specific kind of chaos that nobody really prepares you for. You might look successful on paper but feel completely lost about your direction. Maybe you’re living up to everyone’s expectations but have no idea what you actually want. Add in family pressure, career anxiety, and relationship challenges, and it’s no wonder so many young adults feel overwhelmed.

Young adult therapy helps when you’re caught between being a kid and being a real adult, when everyone assumes you have it figured out but you’re just winging it. We work with young adults dealing with quarter-life crises, anxiety about the future, and the overwhelming pressure to live up to your potential when you’re not even sure what that means.

We understand the unique challenges of this life stage. The comparison trap of social media, the anxiety of having options but not knowing which path is right, the guilt of having advantages but still struggling. Our approach is practical and straightforward. We help you navigate family expectations while staying true to yourself and create a life that feels authentic instead of just impressive to others.

LGBTQ+ Therapy in Haddonfield

Finding a therapist who understands LGBTQ+ life in South Jersey can feel impossible. You shouldn’t have to spend sessions teaching someone about your identity or explaining why certain things matter.

Our team includes queer-identified therapists who understand what it’s like navigating life as an LGBTQ+ person in Haddonfield and Camden County. We work with people dealing with coming out decisions, family acceptance issues, gender identity questions, relationship challenges, and the everyday stress of being queer in a suburban area.

Whether you’re exploring your identity, dealing with discrimination, working through religious trauma, or just need support from someone who gets it, we provide therapy that respects where you are. You shouldn’t have to explain yourself to get help.

Therapy FAQs

Our session rates vary depending on the therapist and range from $140-$175 for individual therapy and $165-$200 for couples therapy.

We are Out-of-Network with all insurance companies. We provide you with a monthly statement (called a Superbill) which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We have found that many insurance plans will reimburse 40%-80% of the cost of Out-of-Network therapy after meeting your deductible.

You can call the concierge number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  1. Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient therapy?
  2. What is my out-of-network deductible? (your deductible is the amount you need to hit before your insurance company can start reimbursing for your sessions.)
  3. What percentage is covered for out-of-network therapy once I’ve hit my deductible? (Here is when they’ll provide you with a percentage like 60% or 80% depending on your coverage)
  4. My therapist’s CPT code is 90834, what will be reimbursed for my 45-minute psychotherapy session?
  5. Can you please instruct me on how to submit my claim for reimbursement?
  6. When should I expect my reimbursement for my sessions?

Online therapy allows you to connect with your therapist through secure, video-based platforms. Before your session, you’ll receive a link to join the meeting. During the session, you’ll talk just like you would in person, but from the comfort of your own space. All you need is a stable internet connection and a private, quiet spot for the session.

We provide the option for online therapy if you live in PA or NJ.

Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Most clients start with weekly sessions, but the frequency can be adjusted based on your preferences, goals, and progress.

Absolutely. It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist. If you don’t feel it’s a good match, let us know, and we can help you find someone who might be a better fit for your needs.
