Bela Krifcher (she/they), LSW
I specialize in:
- IFS | Parts Work
- EMDR
- Sex Therapy
- LGBTQ+
- Couples therapy
My approach:
Therapy is a place where you get to exhale. You don’t have to perform, edit yourself, or prove you’re “doing enough.” All of you is welcome here – your quirks and patterns, your queerness & neurodivergence, your messy relationships, your big feelings, your complicated history, and the parts of you you’ve been carrying quietly for years.
I work with individuals and couples who want to feel more grounded and connected in themselves, in their relationships, and in their bodies. Together, we’ll look at what’s getting in the way: maybe it’s old patterns from your family or past relationships, unhelpful beliefs that show up at the worst times, or intimacy and sexual challenges that are hard to talk about anywhere else.
My style is warm, curious, collaborative – I want you to feel at ease through the journey, and I’ll check in along the way to see how our relationship is feeling for you. We’ll make space for both the deep and vulnerable and the everyday and lighthearted.
Tools I draw from:
I draw on EMDR, IFS (parts work), EFT, and somatic techniques to help you process what’s been holding you back, heal different parts of yourself, and strengthen relationship bonds. This means we won’t just talk about change – we’ll work with what’s happening in the moment, creating shifts that feel real and lasting.
How I work with individuals:
Maybe you’re the one holding it all together for everyone else and quietly wondering who’s holding you. Or you know exactly how you’d like to feel in relationships and as you move through the world, but can’t seem to trust or relax enough to get there. You get a space to put the weight down, untangle the knots, and connect with yourself in a way that feels safe and sustaining.
How I work with couples & relationship structures:
I work with couples and polycules who want more closeness, more honesty, and more understanding. Whether you’re navigating desire differences, healing from broken trust, or just feeling far apart, I help you slow down, hear each other in new ways, and rebuild a sense of being on the same team.
My Journey:
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University (go Owls!). I became a therapist after my own experience in therapy, of doing “everything right” and still feeling disconnected and burnt out. Having sat in both chairs, I know how vulnerable it feels to show up and ask for help. As a queer, neurodivergent person, I know how powerful it is to be fully seen and met without judgment. That’s what I want for my clients. .
Outside of therapy you can find me…
Belting out Wicked in my apartment like I’m auditioning for Broadway, reading fantasy smut without an ounce of shame, or deep in a Survivor or Love Island binge while testing yet another gluten-free dairy-free cookie recipe. When I need to unwind, I love a good slow flow yoga class or sending podcast-length voice notes to friends.
